MEETEX 2026, an event dedicated to the meetings industry, brought together Croatian exhibitors and international event organizers (hosted buyers) in Zagreb from March 17-19.

As part of the MEETEX 2026 workshop, the Croatian National Tourist Board organized four familiarization (FAM) trips.

The Croatian stand was visited by a Croatian delegation led by Tonči Glavina, Minister of Tourism and Sport, and Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.

Conventa has reaffirmed its status as one of the most important gatherings of MICE industry professionals in Central and Southeast Europe.

A special highlight of this year’s appearance was Croatia’s status as the Fair’s Partner Country.

Director Staničić Participated in the Meeting of the UN Tourism Affiliate Members Board.

Representatives of the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Meeting Professionals Association further introduced the ambassadors to the program's support opportunities.

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, specifically in the period from 24 December to 1 January, in Croatia was recorded more than 188,000 arrivals and over 541,000 overnights.

The Affiliate Members Committee is composed of 23 members, including 12 regional members, 8 global members, and 3 members appointed by the UNWTO Secretary-General.

These are prestigious awards from the Travvy Awards, and Croatia has won two bronze medals.
