Forbes ranked Dubrovnik as one of the 20 Best Places for Americans to live, invest, work in Europe

According to the influential American magazine Forbes, Dubrovnik was highlighted as one of the 20 best places for Americans to live, invest and work, stated the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board in the USA - Ina Rodin.

Based on various criteria including the quality of life, health care system, internet connection, proximity to airports with international flights, crime rate, the European Best Destinations (EBD) organization has revealed its rankings for the top European places for American expats to live, invest, retire and create new projects.

The article points out that Dubrovnik with its international universities is the preferred destination for young expats as well as for those developing a tourist project or working remotely in an extraordinary and historical setting, enjoying the sun nearly year-round. 

“Dubrovnik inhabitants have strong and simple values centred on hospitality, respect, honesty and authenticity,” according to EBD. “Why not start your wedding-planner business in Dubrovnik?” writes Forbes, suggesting it as one of the most beautiful European destinations for the organization of unique weddings and wedding ceremonies. The organization also highlights Cavtat, as an example of good practice in sustainable tourism. In addition to Dubrovnik, the list also includes other popular destinations such as Madrid, Hamburg, Berlin, Rotterdam, Athens, Vienna and others.
