The U.S. global airline Delta Air Lines is introducing a new nonstop flight to Croatia starting on July 3rd from New York - Dubrovnik. The new flight will fly four times per week between John F. Kennedy (JFK) in New York to Dubrovnik.

“With the introduction of this new flight by Delta, Croatia will be better connected with the United States than ever before. This is amazing news, which will see an even greater number of Americans visit this season, which is particularly important for southern Croatian destinations, which remain exceptionally popular amongst Americans”, stated Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Kristjan Staničić

Flights to and from Croatia will operate on the 226-seat Boeing 767-300, while the introduction of the Delta Air Line route will be third carrier to offer nonstop flights between Croatia and the United States.

“Croatia was the first European country to open its borders to U.S. citizens. It continues to be a popular tourist destination with Americans and we are responding to this high demand for travel by flying nonstop to Dubrovnik for the first time”, said Joe Esposito, S.V.P. – Network Planning. “We’re excited to operate to this new European market and we look forward to welcoming new customers to Delta and in turn, supporting the local economy and global travel recovery.”

Delta Air Lines is one of the world’s largest and most successful airlines. Headquartered in Atlanta, prior to COVID-19 it welcomed up to 200 million customers each year, flying them across an industry-leading global network of up to 300 destinations in more than 50 countries. Delta is also the leading carrier across the trans-Atlantic, with a pre-pandemic network of 33 cities in 19 countries.

"We are extremely pleased with the decision of Delta Air Lines to establish the NY-Dubrovnik route this summer. Croatia has been open to US tourists since the beginning of April, with proof of vaccination or recovery or a negative PCR or antigen test and a booking confirmation. Our hotels, camps and restaurants, marinas and airports, museums and nature parks marked with the national Safe Stay in Croatia label, provide the highest epidemiological standards for tourists. There are many possibilities for a safe and wonderfully relaxing holiday in Croatia, and we look forward to welcoming back American tourists very soon", concluded Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sport
