The Croatian National Tourist Board's representative office in Italy organized a unique occasion gathering the most important partners, alongside the Italian media with an aim to share all the latest news from Croatian tourism. The event was held in Rome on the eve of the tourism peak season. The attendees were also addressed by Luana de Angelis, vice president of the Italian association of travel agencies FIAVET, who enthusiastically shared her impressions from her recent study trip to Croatia, more precisely to Central Dalmatia.
She emphasized that warmth and hospitality of the hosts, the top-notch service, and the carefully designed and versatile program left a strong impression on all participants of the trip. Excellent accommodation, authentic gastronomy, rich cultural offer, cleanliness, and well-organized destinations were praised, contributing to the overall impression that Croatia left as a destination.
The Director of the Italian CNTB Representative Office, Viviana Vukelić, emphasized that Croatia's strategic goal is to extend the season and diversify the offering outside the main summer months, thereby positioning Croatia as an attractive year-round destination. The focus is on promoting all the comparative advantages that Croatian tourism offers - from exceptional natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, to the increasingly strong eno-gastronomic scene, health, active and business tourism.
"Italy is one of the most important source markets for Croatia, and this is confirmed, among other things, by this year's tourist traffic achieved during the first six months. Namely, according to data from the eVisitor system, Italians achieved a 7 percent growth in arrivals and 4 percent in overnight stays in the aforementioned period compared to last year. Croatia, as a tourist destination, clearly demonstrates its ambition to further position itself on the market as one of the leading destinations in the Mediterranean that offers unique experiences throughout the year, spotlighting authenticity, sustainability and high quality of service. The above is also the best invitation for Italian travel enthusiasts to choose Croatian destinations for their vacations for the rest of the year, while additional motives include proximity, safety and quality transport connections between our countries," said Viviana Vukelić.
Let us add that this gathering for partners and the media add to the activities of the CNTB Representative Office in Italy, including participation in a special meeting with agents from the Lazio region. This will be complemented with various activities for the autumn season in the forthcoming period, ranging from fair appearances, business workshop for agents at the TTG Rimini fair, etc.
