How to get nominated?

The Croatian National Tourist Board has established the award Zlatna penkala for the best texts or radio and TV reports about Croatian tourism. Candidates for the award Zlatna penkala (Golden pen) are nominated by the directors of offices of the Croatian National Tourist Board abroad and also two branches (Munich and Rome). The German (offices in Frankfurt and Munich), Italian (offices in Milan and Rome), Austrian, Czech Republic, Slovenian, French, British, Belgium and Scandinavian markets can nominated one candidate for written and one candidate for TV and radio reports. Offices in Germany and Italy delegate two candidates for each category (a total of 22 nominations). The Dutch, Hungarian, Slovak, Polish, Swiss, Russian and USA market delegate one nomination regarding either a written or radio and TV report (a total of 7 nominations). Both nominations for the award and written or audio-video documentation must be delivered to the Head office of the Croatian tourist board by the middle of January 2005.

The award winners shall be decided by a special commission which will consist of two representatives of the Croatian tourist board and president of the Croatian journalist’s society on the basis of nominations from offices of the Croatian tourist board. The two winners of the award “Zlatna penkala” (Golden pen) will receive the award – specially designed “Golden pen” and a prize trip, while all others nominated will receive as a sign of gratitude - a special plaque.
