Mr. Wolfgang Tropf has published a beautiful report about Opatija and the Kvarner islands in the Austrian magazine Niederösterreichische Nachrichten with a review on culture and historical heritage. In his text he gave them the pet name 'Österreichs Inseln' (Austrian islands). Wolfgang Tropf is a freelance reporter who mostly writes travel reports for the specialized tourist magazine TRAVELLER and Niederösterreichische Nachrichten. Earlier in his career he wrote about multimedia, health, the environment, gastronomy…He studied history and Germanics in Vienna.
Mrs. Andrea Thomas has written two reports in the Austrian Krone Bunt about the beauties of Croatian islands, which has been published in over 7,8 million copies. The first report was from April 2010, under the title "SEHNSUCHT NACH DEM MEER" (Longing for the sea) and it describes the beauties of the island of Rab. In the second article from June of last year, under the title "DER DUFT VON MYRTHE UND PINIEN" , the author talks about Lošinj and brings it closer to the Austrian guest in an interesting way. With her reports the author has contributed a lot to the tourism promotion of Croatia in her country. Mrs. Thomas has worked in the Austrian Kronen Zeitung since 1991., and for the last five years has been a travel section department leader. Along with travelling, which is one of her favourite hobbies, she also enjoys reading, horses and cooking.
